Moldova has imposed a ban on the export of wheat and sugar due to a shortage of stocks, as part of a state of emergency declared by the parliament in response to the Ukraine crisis. The government has also limited the trade markup on meat, eggs, milk, and bakery products. The state of emergency, in effect for 60 days, allows the government to implement special measures related to border crossings, movement within the country, use of airspace, and media coordination, among others.
