On December 22, 2020, a business meeting took place between Mongolia's Ambassador to Russia, D. Davaa, and representatives of the Russian Grain Union (RGU), including Maxim Golovin and Ravil Khairetdinov, at the Mongolian embassy in Moscow. The discussion focused on the potential for Russian wheat supply to Mongolia, in the context of Russia's new quota of 17.5 million tons for grain exports from February 15 to June 30, 2021, to protect its domestic market. The parties explored prospects, availability, and pricing for wheat exports for the next year, and considered the possibility of cooperation in supplying milling wheat from specific regions of the Russian Federation to Mongolia.
