Mushroom market in Ukraine: production volumes are rising, prices are falling

In 2021, the production of mushrooms in Ukraine increased to 70 thousand tons, but adjusted for inflation, the price of mushrooms for the period 2017-2020 decreased by 20%. This was announced by the director of the UMDIS information mushroom agency Maksym Yenchenko during the International Exhibition-Conference "Days of Ukrainian Mushroom Growing". "Compared to 2017, in 2020 the average selling price of mushrooms increased by 12%, while inflation for 4 years was about 40%," explains Maxim Yenchenko.
