In the first two months of 2023, Ukraine experienced a significant decrease in the export of lamb and goat meat, with volumes dropping by 49% to 21 tons, valued at $129,000, marking a 30.6% decrease compared to the same period in the previous year. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) emerged as the primary consumer, accounting for 96.9% of the total exports, with Greece and Turkey trailing slightly with 0.8% each.
