This moment serves as an important reminder of the challenges faced by farmers in the modern era. A few months ago, specifically in July 2025, the Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli Hasan, emphasized the importance of optimizing agricultural land to achieve food self-sufficiency. He reminded that agricultural land should not be converted for other sectors. "Java Island is the most fertile, but nearly 100 thousand hectares of land have already been converted. This must change. During a working visit to Semarang, Zulhas also highlighted the conversion of land in Central Java, including in the Protected Rice Fields (PRF).
