The national mango production in Peru reached 474,000 tons in 2022

(Agraria.pe) In 2022, mango production in Peru reached 474,000 tons, with an installed area of 30,800 hectares, according to a report prepared by the Directorate of Economic Studies of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri). He highlighted that the regions with the largest mango area in Peru in 2022 were Piura with 19,867 hectares (64.6% of the total), Lambayeque with 4,311 hectares (14%), Áncash with 1,843 hectares (6%), Cajamarca with 1,160 hectares (4% ). Likewise, Piura was the main producing region in 2022, participating with 63% (298,620 tons), followed by Lambayeque with 14% (66,360 tons) and Áncash with 12.3% (58,302 tons).
