The Nonghyup Gwangju Main Office (headed by Director Lee Hyun-ho) visited a cabbage farm in Samgeo-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, together with Gwangju Women's University (President Lee Seon-jae) on the 21st, to carry out a volunteer activity for harvesting cabbage using a harvester. About 40 people, including Nonghyup Gwangju Main Office staff and a volunteer service team from Gwangju Women's University, participated in the volunteer work, sweating to harvest cabbage and load it onto trucks, thereby helping the farm achieve a bountiful harvest. This volunteer activity is one of the various rural service activities promoted by the Nonghyup Gwangju Main Office in collaboration with the National Movement Headquarters for Urban-Rural Symbiosis. With the active participation of university students from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions, it is greatly contributing to solving the problem of labor shortages in rural areas and raising awareness of the importance of agriculture and rural areas.
