As previously reported by our title, the Swiss headquartered company has sought to establish programmes over the decades that have placed a targeted focus on social improvement, including its income accelerator scheme designed for cocoa farmers in West Africa. Rob Comeron succeeds Janet Voûte, who has chaired the Council for more than 10 years, steering its work as an advisory body to Nestlé’s overall international operations. Moreoover, as the business explained, through its creating shared value approach, Nestlé links societal progress with business growth. As it noted, delivering improvements for communities as well as for shareholders strengthens its brands, aligning long-term business success with meaningful impact for people, communities and the planet.
