The price of sheep's milk again recorded a sharp drop of 21.47% in May compared to May of last year, placing it at an average of 1.189 euros/liter, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. Production continued to decline (-7% compared to the same month in 2024, down to 53.82 million liters), as did the number of producers (2,618; -8.88%). Goat's milk rose In contrast, goat's milk rose in May for the second consecutive month; the average price reached 0.908 euros/liter, 4.25% more than in May of last year. Production, however, fell again (-8.39%; 43.84 million liters) and the number of farmers also decreased (-9.23%; 3,676).
