When activating the grain elevator for the unloading of soybeans on the afternoon of this Monday, April 27, the president of Cotrisul, Gilberto Dickel da Fontoura, began a new chapter for the cooperative in the Campanha region. The symbolic act took place without the pomp of an inauguration ceremony, as the silo structure of the unit is not yet complete. Fulfilling the commitment made to the co-op members in the region, the Lavras II unit began partial operation in the 2026 crop and will help improve the flow of grain unloading at the Cotrisul unit in Lavras do Sul. The new warehouse is a long-standing demand of the producers in Lavras do Sul and nearby municipalities of Bagé and Dom Pedrito.
