Grape pomace is the residue of skin, pulp, seeds, and stems that remains after the pressing and filtration process of must, the first step in wine production. Until now, it was used mainly as organic fertilizer or animal feed, but it has just been incorporated into the Argentine Food Code (CAA) and, from now on, a breakfast can have a wine aroma without problems. Or it can have traditional fruits from the Littoral and northern Argentina, many of them consumed by indigenous communities, which have also been incorporated into the CAA as a way to revalue them, boost their production, and favor their commercialization. This was established by joint resolutions 36/2025 and 37/2025, signed by the Sanitary Management Secretariat and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fishing.
