New Zealand's dairy exports in September saw a 32% year-on-year growth, despite a 6% decrease in year-to-date exports. This increase was largely driven by a 26% rise in whole milk powder (WMP) exports, despite a 33% decrease to China, with exports to other regions increasing. Butter and anhydrous milk fat exports also saw significant growth, especially to China. However, whey exports experienced a 12% drop, with the US as the top destination. Milk production in New Zealand fell by 3.8% in September, marking the lowest September production since 2017. China's dairy imports continued to decline in September, with total imports down 5.5% year-on-year.
