Total exports for the month of September decreased by 18 percent compared to the previous year, with exports to China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, the US, and Australia falling. Interior Minister Sirma Karapeeva attributed the decline to high export values from the previous year and challenging economic conditions in major markets. However, there were some positive signs, such as increased exports to Canada, the UK, and Saudi Arabia, driven by factors like improved access under free trade agreements and increased lamb exports.
