Ukraine's Ministry of Agrarian Policy has forecasted a decrease in the cultivation of corn for the next year, with farmers expected to shift their focus to sunflower and soybean crops due to the high cost of nitrogen fertilizers and the delayed harvest of the current crop. The ministry also anticipates a reduction in the cultivation of wheat and barley, while rapeseed cultivation is expected to remain stable. The ministry is planning a significant program of lending to support farmers, who are currently facing significant financial losses due to low grain sale prices and increased logistics costs.
