Nigeria to start direct cocoa bean shipments to Russia in autumn

Nigeria, one of the world's largest cocoa bean producers, will begin supplying this product to the Russian market in September-October of this year. This was reported in an interview with the TASS news agency by Russia's trade representative in Nigeria, Maxim Petrov. This is the period when the autumn harvest of this crop occurs in the African country. The trade representative specified that this concerns container deliveries. He also said that leading Russian chocolate producers have already tested Nigerian cocoa beans and were satisfied with their quality. The beans will be supplied by Russian trading houses. Today, they already export not only chocolate to the African country itself, but also meat and alcoholic products, as well as frozen fish.
