The 2024 grape harvest in the Netherlands resulted in a production of over 750,000 bottles of wine, marking a significant decrease of about 1 million bottles compared to the record year 2023. This reduction in yield was attributed to a challenging season marked by night frost in spring, a wet and cold period in late spring, and an unusually wet July. These conditions led to extensive damage in some vineyards and a failure in grape production. Despite the modest harvest, the quality of the wine was generally satisfactory for most growers. The total grape cultivation area in the Netherlands last year expanded slightly, covering 337 hectares across 214 vineyards.
