Specialists of the All-Russian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography estimated the stocks of crayfish for industrial fishing: according to the recommendations of scientists, the volume of production for development in 2022 is set at 4,350 tons. According to the fishing rules for the Volga-Caspian fishery basin, crayfish fishing is prohibited from December 1 to July 14 and from August 16 to September 14; crayfish with a mesh size (step) of at least 22 mm can be used for production.
