Malaysia: No sugar supply disruption despite MSM's plans to export Gula Super to Singapore, says ministry's Johor branch

JOHOR BAHRU (Dec 23): The Johor branch of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) will ensure no disruption in the state's sugar supply, following MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd's upcoming export of its premium white sugar brand, Gula Super, to Singapore next year. Its director Lilis Saslinda Pornomo expressed confidence that there would be no supply issues, as the government, through KPDN, consistently prioritises the people's needs. “KPDN is committed to safeguarding the interests and needs of the local population, and we will ensure that the sugar export will not lead to any disruption in the supply chain within Johor,” she told reporters when met at Jaya Grocer, Austin Heights here, on Saturday.
