Kindangen noted that the province's coconut flour was increasingly in demand in European nations. A total of 26 tons of coconut flour was exported to the Netherlands and capable of generating foreign exchange earnings worth US $ 63,920 for the country. Some 39 tons of coconut flour had been exported to Italy, with a foreign exchange value of US $ 37,050 and 76 tons valued at US $ 182,680 to France.
