The survey conducted by Ipsos reveals that 71% of children and adolescents now eat fish at least once or twice a week for dinner, a significant increase from 64% three years ago.
The survey indicates that more young people are approaching the dietary recommendation by the Norwegian Health Directorate to consume two to three seafood dinners per week.
Sushi has become a top choice for many young people for dinner, with other popular dishes including fried salmon and trout, fish sticks, and fish and chips.
The report also points out that children and adolescents in Oslo eat fish more frequently than the national average, and girls and adolescents over 16 years old are more likely to eat fish three times or more per week.
