The seafood industry is experiencing a positive trend despite challenges like rising costs and uncertain global market trends following a significant decline in June 2024. Salmon exports have slightly increased in value and volume, with Poland, the United States, and Denmark being the largest markets. Trout exports have grown significantly, making it the second largest species in Norwegian seafood exports. While farmed cod exports have risen, wild cod exports and value have decreased due to quotas. Notably, China has significantly increased its import of frozen cod from Norway, resulting in a 248 percent year-on-year increase in value.
