Norwegian Fresh and Frozen Cod Export Data Statistics for the First Half of the Year

Farmed fresh cod accounts for 31% of total fresh cod exports, reaching a historic high point. Denmark, the Netherlands, and Latvia are Norway's largest export markets for fresh cod, often serving as transit and processing hubs that process cod before re-exporting to major consumer markets such as France, Spain, Germany, and Italy. In the first half of the year, Norway's frozen cod exports totaled 21,569 tons, with an export value of 1.8 billion Norwegian kroner, representing year-on-year increases of 35% and 10% respectively. The United Kingdom, China, and Vietnam are the main export markets for Norwegian frozen cod.
