Sharp increase in the prices of green vegetables and seafood in Hai Duong province and Hanoi, Vietnam due to heavy rain, severe cold, and flooding which damaged the crops, reduced production, and higher demand from restaurants and eateries post-Tet. The high price of gasoline has also increased transportation costs. The prices of seafood have also increased compared to before the Lunar New Year due to the "immobile" state of boats and ships in fishing ports in Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
