From November 2023 to the same month in 2024, foreign sales of refrigerated and frozen beef from Argentina experienced a nearly 10% increase, reaching nearly 66 thousand tons with a value of US$260.5 million. This surge in exports is due to the removal of restrictions on shipments after President Javier Milei's inauguration. The average export price in November was US$3,949 per ton, a 5.9% increase from the same period in 2023, despite a downward trend in prices since May 2022. Offal and beef preparations exports also saw an increase, reaching 13.3 thousand tons with a value of US$21.3 million in November. China was the main destination for these exports, accounting for almost 80% of the shipments in November 2024.
