Novosibirsk region, Russia increased grain export by 25%

Direct export deliveries of grain and its processed products from the Novosibirsk region in January-November this year amounted to 590 thousand tons. This is 25% higher than the figures for the same period last year. The number of grain importing countries has increased to 20 destinations, KazakhZerno reports. This year, Tajikistan, Poland and Turkey began to buy lentils, flax and wheat in the Novosibirsk region. The UK, Turkmenistan and Lithuania have resumed imports of peas, wheat and buckwheat, which were interrupted since 2019. More than half of the export shipments of grain from the region still falls on wheat. At the same time, the largest volumes of this crop - 211 thousand tons - were purchased by Kazakhstan. The structure of grain exports to China has changed: in previous years, it was the main importer of rapeseed; in 2021, the country purchased mainly flax, barley, sunflower seeds and buckwheat.
