A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Office Agricultural Land Reform and the Office of the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee to develop herbal medicine in the Eastern Special Development Zone (EEC) from 2023 to 2027. The partnership aims to enhance Thai medicinal plants to international standards, using modern technology and marketing techniques. It will also support land use for medicinal plant cultivation, provide farmers with necessary information, and establish a research network. The EEC will aid in marketing these herbs globally, and the agricultural sector is being developed to improve the income and quality of life of the EEC area's residents. Construction of a Blast Freezer & Cold Storage system for fruit products is expected to begin at the end of this year.
