Rural workers in the olive sector mobilized this Friday in front of the Rioja Olive Chamber, in the city of La Rioja, demanding a salary adjustment, after the wage negotiation with the business sector returned to square one just before the start of the harvest. The protest was called by the Argentine Union of Rural Workers and Dockworkers (UATRE), after the Regional Advisory Commission No. 13, which covers Catamarca and La Rioja, failed to reach an agreement in the hearing held on Thursday, February 5.
