Prices for new harvest onions in Uzbekistan began falling from the second decade of May and continued to decline over the last week. Over the past month, wholesale prices for this product have dropped by 40%, which is due to a gradual increase in the supply of new harvest onions in the domestic market. As EastFruit specialists note, current prices remain three times higher than in the same period last year, and according to market participants' forecasts, onion prices will remain significantly higher than last year's levels at least until August.
