The Brazilian government has welcomed Australia's sanitary approval for Brazil to export shrimp and shrimp meat, enhancing trade between the two countries and reflecting confidence in Brazil's health control system. This follows Australia's earlier approval for Brazilian fish imports in February. In the first five months of 2024, Brazil's agricultural exports to Australia exceeded US$111 million. This marks Brazil's 78th market opening in 2024, totaling 156 openings in 53 countries since early 2023, achieved through coordinated efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
