Small mushroom growers have struggled during the coronavirus pandemic, with a shift towards larger operations and a decrease in sales. Despite this, those who have established contacts with retail chains and large farms have survived. Torffine (TM PeatFine), a company that has sold around 30 thousand tons of peat for mushroom production in the past year, plans to expand into foreign markets and sell peat for greenhouses and composing substrates. The company has been operating since 2019 and is a leader in the production of peat for growing mushrooms in Ukraine.
