Off-season plums are being sold in Vietnam, with prices ranging from 180,000-200,000 VND per kilogram in Hanoi and 3-4 times higher in stores due to increased demand and strict selection for VietGAP and Global GAP standards. The cost is also influenced by transportation and a decrease in supply compared to last year, despite a 10% increase in production. Plums are grown in various provinces, especially Son La, and are famous in the Northwest mountains and forests of Vietnam. The post-main season for plums lasts from April to July.
