Over 146 million tons of grain were harvested in Russia

In Russia, the grain harvest in bunker weight (before processing) today amounted to 146.3 million tons. Interfax reports this with reference to operational data from regional bodies of the agro-industrial complex. This is 8.7 million more than last year’s figure on the same date. The figure is given without taking into account the new Russian regions (Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, as well as Crimea, LPR and DPR, which were previously included in the Russian Federation). At the beginning of this month, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut already mentioned the figure of 147 million, and then clarified that the harvest was harvested, among other things, in the five above-mentioned regions. As of today, grains and leguminous crops have been threshed on 46.3 million hectares, which is 400 thousand higher than in the same period last year.
