A series of operations carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) in Paraná in 2025 resulted in the seizure of more than 40 tons of roasted and ground coffee with irregularities. The actions, conducted by the Inspection Service for Products of Plant Origin (SIPOV-PR), identified fraud in batches acquired by public bodies, with impurity levels far above the allowed limit and misleading information on the labeling.
