In the first half of 2021, Russia experienced a significant increase in rapeseed oil exports, with a 55.9% rise in revenue and an 18.4% increase in physical exports compared to the same period in 2020. The main importers were China, Norway, Latvia, and Lithuania, contributing to Russia's position as the world's third-largest rapeseed oil exporter. This growth is attributed to both an increase in rapeseed crop production and the high profitability of exports. The Agroexport center anticipates that exports could reach 1.1 million tons, generating $1.4-1.6 billion. The European Union, Asia, Mexico, and Chile are identified as potential new markets. Additionally, rapeseed oil imports in Russia have also seen an increase in the first half of 2021.
