Oyster mushroom production in Samsun's Çarşamba district has seen a surge, with one producer, Aydın Aksar, collecting high demand by cultivating various types of mushrooms. He has been in business for about a year and aims to expand into mushroom cultivation and compost production. His facility, covering 550 square meters, has received a 50% government grant, with the remaining 50% funded by himself. Aksar emphasizes the health benefits of oyster mushrooms, including their high vitamin B3 content and their ability to reduce cholesterol by 45%.
