The EU Commission will allocate a package of 186 million euros for the promotion of agricultural products

The European Commission will allocate €185.9 million in 2024 to finance activities promoting sustainable and high-quality EU agri-food products, both in the EU and abroad.

The policy promotion work programme, approved by the Commission, aims to develop new market opportunities, taking into account policy priorities, analysis of projected exports to existing and emerging markets, as well as stakeholder input.

Campaigns to promote EU agricultural products should aim at creating new market opportunities for EU farmers and, more generally, for the EU food industry, as well as strengthening their efforts to consolidate their existing businesses. In addition to promoting sustainable production and consumption of agricultural products, the promotion policy also supports the sustainable recovery of the EU agri-food sector in a challenging economic context.
