In the first five months of 2024, Vietnam exported over 660,000 USD worth of cashew nuts to Pakistan, with expectations to increase due to increased order demands from the importer Sharfuddin Paracha & Company. Despite challenges such as geographical distance, unstable security and political situation, cultural differences, and foreign currency shortages, two-way trade turnover between Vietnam and Pakistan is on the rise. Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced that Pakistan will grant free visas to traders and tourists from 126 countries, including Vietnam, in an effort to attract more foreign investment and tourists. Pakistan had a good rice harvest in 2024, with an output of 9 million tons and exported 6 million tons, generating a turnover of 3.6 billion USD.
