The USDA Gain Report forecasts a promising increase in rice production in Pakistan for the 2023/2024 season, with an estimated 3.5 million hectares allocated for cultivation. The forecasted harvest for this season is 13.501 million tons, resulting in 9 million tons processed, a significant increase from the previous season where 5.5 million tons were processed. Additionally, Pakistani rice exports are expected to reach 5 million milled tonnes in 2023/24, compared to 3.74 million exported in the previous season, and the country's ending stocks are projected to increase to 1.172 million processed tons.
