In January 2025, Peru's palm oil exports saw a significant increase compared to the same period in 2024, with a total of 22,591 tons earning US$ 23.9 million. This represents a 6% rise in volume and 20% increase in value year-over-year. The average price per kilogram also increased by 13% to US$ 1.06. The majority of the exports were crude oil, with the main ports for shipping being the Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal and DP World. The primary markets for these exports were Mexico, Chile, and Ecuador, with Mexico showing the most growth in both volume and value. Sol de Palma S.A. played a key role as the largest exporter to Mexico, while Chile and Ecuador experienced varying levels of growth in their imports.
