In 2020, Peruvian palm heart exports saw a slight decrease of 3% in volume but remained stable in value at $8.6 million. The main market, France, experienced a 39% increase in volume and 53% increase in value, reaching 1,934 tons and $4.3 million respectively. The US market also grew by 10% in volume and 11% in value. However, exports to the Netherlands and Spain saw a decrease in both volume and value. The US and Spain were the markets with the highest price per kilogram at $2.62 and $2.55 respectively.
