In April 2024, Indonesia saw a slight increase in Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) production, but a decrease in domestic consumption and total exports, leading to an increase in the final stock of CPO and PKO. Specifically, CPO production rose by 0.32% to 4,115 thousand tons, while PKO production increased by 0.52% to 393 thousand tons. However, domestic consumption fell by 0.26% to 1,893 thousand tons. Total exports decreased by 14.94% to 2,178 thousand tonnes, with the largest decline seen in CPO exports to China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Netherlands. Despite the decrease in total exports, there was an increase in exports to the USA, Spain, and Italy. The initial April stock of 3,300 thousand tonnes, together with production, domestic consumption, and exports, results in a final stock of 3,741 thousand tonnes, marking an increase of 13.36% compared to the previous month.
