The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) announced that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has released the preliminary results of its administrative investigation into the anti-dumping duty order on frozen pangasius fillets from Vietnam for the period from August 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023. The DOC found that several Vietnamese exporters, including Bien Dong and Vinh Hoan, did not dump their products in the US market, and will therefore not face any anti-dumping duties. Eight pangasius exporting companies have been assigned separate tax rates. The DOC used Indonesia as a surrogate country to calculate the dumping margin for Vietnam, and the final tax results are expected to be announced after a 120-day period.
