Papaya, mango, and okra register a drop in prices

Southern Mato Grosso consumers can celebrate: various foods have seen a drop in prices at CEASA/MS (Central Supply of Mato Grosso do Sul), according to the weekly bulletin released this Tuesday (30). Among the main highlights are fruits such as papaya and mango, as well as vegetables like okra and potatoes. According to the data from the survey conducted between July 28 and August 2, the Tommy mango had the largest price reduction among the fruits. The 10 kg box is now sold for around R$ 50.00 — a decrease of 16.6% compared to the previous week. The Hawaiian papaya, also in a 10 kg box, showed a 12.5% decrease and now costs around R$ 70.00. In the vegetable group, okra was the star of the week. The product, which was once sold for up to R$ 190.00, had its price reduced to R$ 110.00 per 15 kg box.
