"The value of Paraguayan beef exports reached a total of US$ 658.7 million through April, surpassing last year's foreign market sales values by 43%," indicated the Rosario Chamber of Commerce. The difference in revenues was marked by a significant price increase and a growth in export volume, 23% higher than last year, with shipments of 116,997 tons in the first four months. Prices for fat cattle recovered and last week reached a three-year high of US$ 4.10 for export steers, although this week the industry lowered its proposals for slaughter livestock to US$ 3.80. On the other hand, the kosher slaughter season for exporting Paraguayan meat to Israel is beginning.
