Until the end of August, Paraguayan livestock exported a total of 247,577,236 kilos of beef, surpassing all previous records at this point in the year. These shipments generated revenues of 1.425 billion dollars for the sector.

The main destination for these exports was Chile, where more than 77 million kilos were sent, followed by Taiwan, where more than 33 million kilos of beef were shipped. Among other important markets are Israel, with 23.6 million kilos; the United States, with 22.8 million kilos; Brazil, with 13 million kilos; and Russia, with a similar amount. Among Paraguayan animal-origin exports, the poultry sector is the only one that shows negative numbers compared to last year.
