Paraguay has secured its first market for sheep meat exports with Israel, according to José Carlos Martin Camperchioli, president of the National Animal Quality and Health Service (Senacsa). The country is confident to meet consumer demands in this new market, with the Israeli Veterinary and Animal Health Service authorizing a Paraguayan slaughterhouse for the export of sheep meat. The opening of the Israeli market is seen as a growth opportunity for the sector, with producers expecting the price to increase due to increased demand.
