Paraguay: Meat Shipments to the United States Grew 149% in the First Half of the Year

Beef shipments to the United States closed the first half of the year with a 200% growth in value and 139% in volume, compared to the same period in 2024. The Paraguayan Meat Chamber (CPC) indicates that this market remains firm as the third most important destination for national production. According to the latest foreign trade report from the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP), between January and June, the United States purchased 19,800 tons of Paraguayan meat for USD 111.9 million. These figures imply a year-on-year increase in value and volume of 200% and 139%, respectively. Daniel Burt, general manager of the CPC, told La Nación/Nación Media that the first half of the year left them with many satisfactions, mainly with exports to the United States, where they received good prices for national beef protein.
