The Paraguayan pork sector is planning for a surge in foreign trade by 2025, focusing on exports to Chile and Asian countries, as stated by the Paraguayan Association of Pork Producers (Appc). The growth in both domestic consumption and exports is expected to trigger a significant increase in pork livestock. The Appc emphasizes the importance of small and medium breeders in meeting this demand and plans to collaborate with the Vice Ministry of Livestock to reactivate 100 small farms, which will boost production and create job opportunities.
