Brazil: Paraná can harvest 20.8 million tons of soybean, the highest volume in history

Soybean producers in Paraná will be able to produce, in an area of 5.76 million hectares, approximately 20.89 million tons of soy in this first 2022/2023 harvest. This volume, if confirmed, will be the largest in the history of Paraná. The information is from the Subjective Crop Forecast (PSS) released on Thursday (02) by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral) of the State Secretariat for Agriculture and Supply (Seab), referring to the month of February. Expectations for the soybean crop represent a 70% increase in production volume compared to the 2021/2022 harvest, when 12.31 million tons were produced. The grain harvest advanced to 17% of the area this week, and 85% of the crops are in good conditions, 12% in medium conditions and 3% in bad conditions.
