Farmers in Şanlıurfa's Harran Plain have begun harvesting peanuts, which have proven to be a high-yield crop requiring less fertilizer, water, and pesticides. The farmers are happy with the results, as they can produce 500 kilos of peanuts per decare. Agricultural engineers in the region have also observed the success of peanut production and plan to increase the number of farmers cultivating peanuts to 100 next year.
